This Victorian house is in large gardens and has easy access to Edinburgh's city centre by bus. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking, large rooms and fresh, home-cooked, traditional Scottish breakfasts.
Alba House has a quiet location less than 2 miles (3.2 km) from Edinburgh Waverley rail Station. A number of local buses run regularly from the stop outside the guest house.
The house was built in about 1860 and the large rooms mix original features with modern comforts. The individually decorated en suite rooms have central heating, TVs, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, coffee tables, armchairs and tea/coffee.
Alba House is family run and prides itself on offering a traditional warm Scottish welcome and a friendly, relaxing atmosphere.

This apartment is located in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, 500 metres from The Royal Mile. The third-floor, modern apartment has 2 double bedrooms with luxury king-size beds. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The apartment also has a family bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living/dining room. The apartment block has a video-entry system, a lift and secure allocated parking. Please note that the apartment is offered on a room-only basis, but a grocery pack can be requested at booking. Important Information: Please inform Alba House of your estimated time of arrival in advance, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting the hotel directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. On the day of your arrival you will be met at the apartment. It is important that you keep the hotel's contact details to hand so that you can inform them of any delays or changes in your travel plans. After your booking has been confirmed, you will be contacted with more detailed information regarding check-in.
By Air: The hotel is approximately 8 miles (13 km) from Edinburgh Airport. Take the airport bus to Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station. From the station, cross Princes Street to the shops and take the number 3, 3A, 37 or 37A bus to Craigmillar Park. Alternatively, when leaving Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station on to Princes Street, turn right and walk 200 metres to the North Bridge. Cross to the east side of the North Bridge and take the number 7, 8 or 31 bus (or the number 3, 3A, 37 or 37A bus) to Craigmillar Park. The bus stops outside Alba House and will only take a few minutes in total.
