Hill House was once the home of a local Norfolk dignitary and parts of the building date back to the 1600s. Sympathetically restored and extended, Hill House was reopened as a hotel in April 2006. Today, it combines original charm and character with modern comforts and facilities.
All of the rooms have plasma flat-screen TVs, telephones, tea/coffee, hairdryers and en suite bathrooms with baths or showers.
The carvery restaurant offers great-value 3-course meals, with a choice of meats, four types of vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing.
Guests can enjoy a drink in the comfortable lounge with its open fireplace, downstairs in the cellar wine bar with its extensive wine list or outside on the beautifully lit patio area.

Please inform reception on check-in if you wish to pay with a form of payment other than the one provided when making your booking. The hotel has an all-day carvery and bar meals are served 7 days a week. The carvery offers a choice of 6 starters. Then, for a main course, you can choose from a selection of meats, four types of vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. The dessert cabinet has a range of delicious puddings to end your meal. Breakfast times: Monday to Friday from 07:00 - 09:30. Saturday and Sunday from 07:30 - 10:30.
By Car (from the A11): - On the A11, follow all signs towards Norwich until you reach the Thickthorn Services roundabout with the Southern Bypass. - Take the second exit, following the signs to Swaffham and the A47. - Travel until you see the slip road off to East Dereham and then follow the signs to Dereham's town centre. - Follow the high street through the town until you reach the mini-roundabout at the war memorial. - At this roundabout, turn right and take the right fork. The entrance to the hotel's car park is the first turning on the left.
