It runs through the fresh thinking that shaped the informal comfort of our bars, or the distinctive, modern style of our bedrooms. It runs through the dining experience, where the service is precise but never fussy. It's in the sea air on our terraces, and the "can do" enthusiasm of our staff.
Welcome to the Sandgate Hotel, a place to celebrate all that's finest about this sunniest corner of England, a place to feel refreshed.
The Sandgate Hotel was built specifically as a small hotel in the mid- 1800s. However now completely refurbished, there's little Victorian about our bedrooms, unless you count the original balconies at the front overlooking the sea. The rooms extend the sophisticated informality of our bars and dining room to our private spaces. All rooms offer carefully designed comfort and have fully modernised en-suite bathrooms and most rooms boast a panoramic sea view.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Furnished to the same high standards as all of the hotel’s rooms, these double rooms overlook the nearby group of Victorian villas built on the site of much older fisherman's cottages. These rooms have a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for a good night’s sleep. It is these rooms that are allocated to guests with dogs.
These intimate rooms allow glimpses of the sea and still maintain the high standards of furnishings and comfort as the more expensive rooms.
This family room consists of a double and a twin en suite room, linked by an internal door. This room is ideal for families, as its location on the hotel’s upper floor ensures a quiet atmosphere.
