Our well-maintained hotel has an impressive mix of furnishings, creating a unique style in the public areas. We have 13 well-appointed, individually decorated, en suite bedrooms. You can dine in our Phoenix Restaurant where we use and promote the finest of local produce.

We are synonymous with promoting local produce and have over 20 years experience doing so. We prepare traditional Shetland dishes as well as universal favourites and international dishes. We fuse our local products with worldwide recipes to create our own favourites. We are happy to discuss a favourite or find the best of local food that you want to try.
The hotel is situated in the central mainland, a 10 minute walk from Tingwall Airport for travel to the outer isles. By Car: From the main airport at Sumburgh (40 minutes): - Take the main A970 to the north for around 40 km (25 miles), passing through Lerwick - Around 11 km (7 miles) out of Lerwick you will see the Shetland Golf course on the right. The hotel sign is at the top of the hill. - Take the 1st left and you will see the red hotel building at the foot of the hill. From the oil terminal airport of Scatsta (30 minutes): - Leave the airport and turn right onto the B9076 to Brae. - At Brae turn left on the A970 south (Lerwick) for around 32 km (20 miles). - After entering the area of Tingwall, take the 2nd turn right for Veensgarth. - Your will see the red hotel building on your left. Take a left at the mini roundabout and the hotel is 50 metres further on. From the ports of Lerwick and Scalloway (11 km / 7miles), taxis to the hotel cost around 10 GBP.
