The owners are happy to be as flexible as they can with regards to breakfast arrangements, special diets, check-in and out times and luggage storage. The guest house is not normally considered suitable for children but the staff will of course make special considerations where necessary. Please contact the guest house directly for more information. For our guests peace of mind, we do like to secure the building at around 23:30 each night.
Each of the 10 en suite bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished to a very high standard. All have a nice outlook, and most have superb views of the fells.
The rooms are spacious, individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. Victorian features remain in many rooms and they all have views of the surrounding fells. Rooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors of this lovely Victorian home. Some of the rooms on the 2nd floor do have a sloped ceiling and may not be suitable for very tall people.
These bedrooms have 2 single beds (each 3 feet 6 inches / 1.07m wide). Each room is individually furnished and decorated to a high standard. They have good views over the fells. Rooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors. Some of the rooms on the 2nd floor do have a sloped ceiling and may not be suitable for very tall people. 2 of the twin rooms can have a super-king-size bed for stays of 3 nights or more. When there is no further availability for doubles, these rooms may be converted to double rooms.
This room is furnished and decorated to the same standard as the superior rooms, but is slightly smaller. It has a good view across to the fells and full en suite facilities. Some of the rooms on the 2nd floor do have a sloped ceiling and may not be suitable for very tall people.
By car: From the M6: - Exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 westbound, towards Keswick. - Exit at the 1st opportunity for Keswick and you will encounter a T-junction. - Turn left and drive about 500 metres up the hill. - There is a right-hand turning, signposted Castlerigg Manor. - Take this and The Grange is just a few metres down the hill on the right-hand side.
