Built in the 17th century, this hotel boasts a 1920s themed bar and restaurant area and 20 boutique-style rooms.
A hotel has stood on the site of The Kings Arms and Royal Hotel since 1358, and former guests include Peter the Great Tsar of Russia, who famously left without paying his bill, and King Henry VIII, whom ordered the former inn to be built in celebration of the arrival of the navy in Portsmouth.
The menus offer light bites right through to an à la carte 3-course meal. There is a function suite available that can accommodate a conference or party from 12 to 50 people.

Room information
All rooms have been recently refurbished and have en suite facilities.
The Family Room can comfortably accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. It has an extremely large bathroom with separate bath and shower. It is tastefully decorated with antique-style white furniture.
The Bridal Suite offers the height of luxury for any special occasion. It has antique-style white furniture, a sofa and a private balcony. The bathroom has a shower and a roll-top bath.
There is a 1920's themed bar on site, complete with a restaurant area serving traditional English fare. Breakfast is served between 07:30 - 09:00, lunch between 12:00 - 15:00 and dinner from 19:00 - 21:00.

By car from the A3 motorway (Portsmouth to London) from the north:
- Exit onto the A283 for Milford.
- Turn right onto Portsmouth Road A3100) and follow signs for Godalming.
- Continue onto Flambard Way and turn left onto Queen Street.
- Turn right onto High Street, where you will find the hotel.
From the A3 from the south:
- Exit for Milford onto the A3100 (Portsmouth Road) and continue as above.
From Guildford:
- Follow the A3100 south and continue onto Flambard Way.
- Turn right onto Queen Street and continue as above.
