Nestled in 2 acres of beautifully kept gardens, this charming country house hotel is a place of comfort, good food, peace and tranquillity.
New owners Adam and Carrie Southwell and their team strive to create a relaxed atmosphere with friendly, efficient service. The restaurant is an important part of Fairwater Head and has an AA Rosette. The 4-course fixed price table d'hôte evening dinner is bookable at an additional cost. Tables by reservation only.
Fairwater Head Hotel is 5 miles (8km) from the world-famous Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis, and River Cottage HQ. It is 3 miles from River Cottage Canteen in Axminster.
In the winter, sit by the fire and enjoy a good book, and in summer relax with an afternoon cream tea on the patio, taking in the superb views of the Axe Valley and surrounding countryside. Later, unwind with a drink in the west-facing bar and watch the sun set.

Appreciate the best of Devon's produce, cooked by our executive head chef and his award winning team. A full English breakfast is included in the price, served between 08:00 and 10:00. Lunch is only available if you book, and is served Wednesday to Saturday between 12:00 and 14:00. On Sunday's we serve a traditional roast lunch, please reserve your table at reception. Every evening of the week we serve our award-winning 4-course, fixed price table d'hôte dinner, between 19:00 and 21:00. There is limited availability for tables, so please book in advance.
From the M5 motorway (north): - By Taunton, exit onto the A358 for Ilminster. - At the roundabout, exit onto the A358 (Horton Cross). - Continue for Chard then Tytherleigh. - Just past this town, turn left onto Broom Lane, signposted Hawkchurch. - Cross railway line and take the 1st right. - Follow signs for Hawkchurch, continuing onto Hawkchurch Road. - Turn right onto Wareham Road, then bear right onto Scouse Lane, where you will find the hotel. Parking: There are 2 car parks on-site at no extra cost.
