In a quiet tree-lined avenue just 3 minutes' walk from Cromer seafront and pier, with free private parking and Wi-Fi, the 19th-century Virginia Court was once owned by the British monarchy.
Virginia Court was built at the end of the 19th century as a gentleman's club for King Edward VII, who entertained his guests here while visiting Cromer for his love of golf and sea air.
Whilst still showing the grand public spaces from those days, Virginia Court is today a 3-star hotel (AA) with an in-house restaurant and bar. Relax with friends just as King Edward VII once did.
The restaurant prefers to use fresh seasonal produce, locally sourced from the area. All food is cooked to order and includes the famous and freshly caught Cromer Crab (when available).
Virginia Court is an ideal base for exploring the North Norfolk coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty with many stately homes and other attractions.

Virginia Court has 25 en suite rooms, recently refurbished and updated. There are 3 rooms on the ground floor, much appreciated by those who have difficulty with stairs. Guest information is available in every room and the reception team are happy to assist with any queries. Also available is a king-size four-poster bed room, for that little touch of luxury.

Eating well is an important part of any hotel experience and Virginia Court favours fresh produce. The food is locally sourced, in keeping with seasonal availability and the chef's choice of what looks good. The chef at Virginia Court has a good local reputation for the quality of the freshly prepared menu, which changes on a daily basis. All food is cooked to order and includes the famous freshly caught Cromer Crab (when in season). While choosing from the seasonal menu, why not enjoy a relaxing drink in the intimate bar as King Edward VII and his friends once did? The hotel can cater for weddings, functions, parties and conferences. Special dietary needs are not a problem, although advance notification is appreciated. Breakfast is served from 08:00 until 09:30. Lunch is served from 12:00 until 14:00. Dinner is served from 18:30 until 21:00.
By Car: From the North/North-East: - Follow motorways and A-roads to connect with the A47 and A17 to Kings Lynn. - Then follow the A148 to Cromer. - On entering Cromer, head for the town centre, then follow the sign for Norwich. - You will pass a big church on your left. Carry straight ahead to traffic lights. - At the lights turn left and after just a few metres turn right into Cliff Avenue. From the South/West: - Follow major roads to the A11 or A12 and follow signs to Norwich. - From the ring road, follow the A140 to Cromer. - On entering Cromer, travel downhill through the traffic calming, passing the High School on your right. - At the mini roundabout, head straight over and take the 1st turn on the right (Cliff Avenue).
