Dating back to 1639, the White Hart Hotel retains plenty of its beautiful original period character while also offering comfortable accommodation for a cosy retreat amid beautiful Devon countryside.
This Grade II listed building has recently been refurbished and now offers high standard accommodation. The hotel has been awarded 3 stars and a 77% merit rating by the AA. All of the 28 en suite rooms are comfortable and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, flat-screen TVs and CD players.
The restaurant has received an AA Rosette award for its delicious authentic local food, made using produce sourced from the surrounding region wherever possible. The hotel is also well known for its selection of local cask beers and real ales, as well as its range of malt whiskies.

The hotel enjoys an excellent reputation for serving delicious traditional food made using locally sourced produce. The hotel has a formal restaurant offering an impressive à la carte menu. In November 2007, the restaurant was the recipient of an AA Rosette for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses. The hotel bar is well known for its selection of real ales from the surrounding region and for its range of malt whiskies. Traditional pub food is available in the bar. On the first Sunday of every month, the hotel offers Sunday lunch with live musical accompaniment from a traditional jazz band. The hotel can also accommodate functions and wedding for up to 100 guests.
By Car (from the M5 motorway): - Take the M5 motorway to Exeter and take the exit at junction 31 onto the A30, following the signs to Okehampton. - Then take the 1st exit off the A30 onto the B3212 into Moretonhampstead. Parking: Parking is available at an additional cost, in the car park 50 yards past the hotel.
