There are 15 rooms in the main house and a further 5 lovely rooms in the beautiful old coach house, which is just 75 metres from the main house and overlooks the walled Victorian garden. Since almost every room has a spectacular view of the mountains and the surrounding countryside, they are priced mostly according to size and are classified as either classic, superior or the largest, principal. Comfort is a real priority. Each room is furnished and fitted to the same high standard with good quality beds, top-of-the-range pillows, Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy bath sheets, and high quality Molton Brown toiletries and bath products. There is a fridge on every floor for storing your soft drinks, water and fruit. Fresh milk is provided.
Classic rooms are all comfortably appointed with a king-size bed, crisp white linen, an en suite bathroom with luxury toiletries, comfortable armchairs and a welcome glass of sherry. All rooms enjoy lovely views of the surrounding meadows and mountains.
Superior rooms are all spacious and light and boast lovely views. Enjoy crisp white bed linen, luxury toiletries, a king-size bed, comfortable armchairs and a welcome decanter of sherry. There is a good selection of in-room refreshments, and fresh milk is available. Two of the superior rooms are in the Coach House, with lovely views over the Victorian Walled Garden. Superior rooms are allocated when the booking is confirmed by the hotel.
Principal rooms are spacious, light and airy, giving the best of the views. They all come with a King-size bed and newly refurbished bathrooms. Features include luxury dressing gowns, Egyptian cotton bed linen, fluffy bath sheets and a TV/DVD player with free film library. These rooms really are worth the extra cost. One of the Principal rooms is in the Coach House, with dual aspect views and lovely outlook over the walled garden and up to the mountains beyond. Principal rooms are allocated on confirmation of your booking with the hotel.
Our single rooms enjoy all the little extras found in all our bedrooms - Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy bath sheet, a comfortable armchair, luxury toiletries and lovely views. One single room is in the adjoining Coach House.
At breakfast there is a large buffet with fresh fruit, fruit salad, yogurts, juices, fresh croissants and warm rolls. Hot choices include porridge, a traditional full cooked breakfast and various fish options, as well as a hot vegetarian choice. Recently completely refurbished in gold and red, the Winter Garden Restaurant overlooks the meadows and mountains and has an AA Rosette. It offers a 4-course menu, which changes every evening. Dinner is available at a fixed price.
