With beautiful gardens and lovely views, this lovingly restored Victorian villa houses a friendly, family-run hotel, which offers impressive leisure facilities usually found only in larger hotels.
Standing in an acre of its own beautifully kept gardens, the Elmfield combines contemporary style with a classic twist. The hotel has an impressive indoor heated swimming pool with a sauna and jacuzzi, as well as a well-equipped games room and a playroom for all ages with a movie-lounge. The hotel's bar has an excellent wine list, with fine wines from all over the world specially selected to complement the freshly prepared, home-cooked food, made using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

The hotel offers a full restaurant service, from Thursday to Saturday, under the direction of Head Chef Tom Frost. The menu includes the highest quality seasonal dishes. Monday to Wednesday evening meals can be arranged in advance. Those with special dietary needs can be accommodated by prior arrangement. The dining room is spacious and overlooks the hotel's terraced gardens.
By Car (from the M5 motorway): - Leave the M5 motorway at junction 27, joining the A361. - Continue on the A361, bypassing Tiverton. - Stay on the road, through Barnstaple, to Ilfracombe. By Coach: National Express and other coach operators offer services from London Victoria and other major cities and towns. Most connect or transfer at Taunton, Exeter or Barnstaple, with some direct routes to Ilfracombe. By Train: Intercity trains run regularly to Exeter. From Exeter, change to the scenic Tarka Line for onward travel to Barnstaple, with coach bus or taxi connections from Barnstaple to Ilfracombe.
