Our Victorian country house sits high on a hill above the lovely Bourne Valley amid the splendour of the North Wessex Downs.
A private country retreat for 80 years, Esseborne now boasts 19 individually decorated bedrooms. All rooms overlook our gardens and farmland beyond and have double beds, en suite facilities as well as satellite TV and a DVD player.
Hurstbourne Tarrant is at the very centre of some of the finest shooting and fishing in Britain, and we have been cited as 'one of the more civilised places to stay and savour the good things of life after a day in the Hampshire countryside'.

We have 19 individually decorated and furnished bedrooms: 11 in the main house, 6 spacious rooms in the courtyard and 2 rooms in the garden cottages.
By Car From the M3: - Exit at junction 8 and take the A303, the the A3093 to Andover. - At the Tesco roundabout just before entering Andover town, take the 3rd exit signposted Newbury A343. - We are 7 miles down this road (1 mile north of Hurstbourne Tarrant) on the right. From the M40 (Midlands): - Exit at junction 9, taking the A34 past Oxford and onto Newbury. - Then follow the directions from the M4 below. From the M4: - Exit at junction 13, turning left onto the A34 to Newbury. - Continue on the A34 past Newbury. - Turn off onto the A343, signposted Highclere. - Turn right through Highclere and we are 7 miles down the road on the left. By Train From London: Take a train from Waterloo to Andover, or from Paddington to Newbury. Transport to collect you from either station can be arranged.
