The Angel Inn has a wealth of original charm and period character in every area, from the traditional warmth of the main bar to the bright and airy well room. The well room still houses the original 52-foot (16-metre) well and also boasts impressive vaulted ceilings.
The stylish and recently refurbished accommodation offers great value for money and excellent modern comforts and facilities, including contemporary flat-screen TVs and wonderfully comfortable beds.

The Angel Inn is situated in the heart of the small village of Stoke-by-Nayland, close to the border with Essex and in the heart of Constable Country. The grand tower of the village's church appears in many of Constable's paintings.

Each of these rooms has one double bed or 2 twin single beds. Please inform the hotel of your preference on the day of booking, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting the hotel directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. These rooms can also be used for 2 adults, one child under 15 years of age and one baby under 2 years of age. Breakfast is included in the room rate for 2 adults only and breakfasts for extra guests are at an additional cost. The accommodation of extra guests is on request and must be confirmed by the hotel.
Along with classic dishes from all over the commonwealth, the restaurant offers a range of specials, which change regularly to reflect the season. Of course Sunday wouldn't be the same without a roast dinner. The hotel proudly uses British produce wherever possible and prides itself on developing personal relationships with its suppliers, in order to bring you superb food at the best possible price. Beef is grain fed, naturally reared and hung for 21 days, while the chicken is farm assured by the local butcher.
