Avalon House offers standard en suite accommodation, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a good location, just one mile (1.6 km) from St Albans Railway Station.
On the main London Road, Avalon House is near the centre of St Albans and well-connected to London Colney. It also offers good access to the M25, M1, A1 and the M10 to Hemel Hempstead.
Each room is en suite and has a TV. Some rooms have a DVD player. Guests can purchase a day pass for the health club at a nearby hotel.
A residents' lounge/bar is available. Business services, a microwave and a fridge are available on request. Takeaway menus are at reception, as are flyers for the region's top nightclub, Batchwood Hall, which is a 10-minute drive away.
No longer a hotel, Avalon House Licensed Guest House is now a bed and breakfast and is being refurbished throughout 2009.
