Alentejo is considered to be Portugal's most authentic and picturesque region.
It is in this peaceful country setting that we founded Refúgio da Vila Rural Hotel and Cooking School. Located in Portel, a small town outside Évora, the hotel is set in a Vila manor house, complete with pool and patios.
Between cooking lessons in a kitchen that opens to a courtyard, and tours of the unspoiled countryside, our guests can relax in simple, but elegant rooms.

Check In / Check Out

• You may check in from 16:00 hours onwards.
• You must check out by 12:00 hours.

Cancellations

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Extra Charges

5 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Parking

Free public parking is possible on site.

Pets

Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.

Internet

Wireless internet is available in public areas and charges are applicable.

Deposit

100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

Children and extra beds

All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All children from 2 to 10 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds. All older children or adults are charged EUR 52.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
