Hotel Sol e Serra with 82 rooms is in privileged location by being in the centre of a beautiful and ancient town, that is Castelo de Vide, and very close to Spain.
Besides a majestic castle right at the top of 600 meters, Castelo de Vide has an interesting old Jewish quarter (with a preserved Synagogue) and from which it is easy to make memorable tours, such as to the National Stud (Coudelaria Real de Alter do Chão) or to Megalithic Monuments for example.
Hotel Sol e Serra has at the disposal of its guests, 4 (four) 18-hole golf courses: one in Marvão, 8kms from the Hotel, and three in Spain: one in Badajos (100kms), another in Cáceres (100kms), and a thrid in Mérida (140kms).
By road, from the Sol e Serra to these four golf courses, it is 10 minutes (Marvão), 1 hour (Badajos and Cáceres) and 1,5 hours (Mérida).
The Restaurant "A Palmeira" ("The Pam Tree") in Hotel Sol e Serra could serve you an excellent Portuguese and International cuisine and enjoy a drink in the pleasant Cocktail-Bar, with a magnificent view and live music. We offer a room ideal for meetings, with space for 120 guests.

By Car: From Lisbon: - Take the A1 and exit at Torres Novas/Abrantes. - At the A23, exit at Portalegre for the IP2. - Then exit at Alpalhão (N246) Castelo de Vide. From the north: - Take the A1 and exit at Torres Novas. - From here, follow the directions as above. From the south: - Take the A2 and exit at Marateca onto the A6. - From here, exit for Eztremoz onto the IP2. - From Portalegre take the N246 to Castelo de Vide.
