The rooms have been designed to give the guests’ personalised luxury and privacy with details down to the depth of our sunken baths and king size beds. Each room is decorated to give the guest a feeling of lavish comfort and space. All have a large bathroom enough to fit 2, with 2 wash basin and tiled from wall to ceiling in Italian marble.
These rooms offer luxurious accommodation and modern comforts and conveniences. The architecture blends perfectly with the magnificent surroundings and breathtaking scenery. The peaceful, airy bedrooms are elegantly decorated. Wooden floors and classic furniture create a relaxing atmosphere and lovely French doors open out onto rolling lawns and pretty gardens that stretch all the way to the shores of the loch. Only the splashing of trout and singing of birds break the silence. Some rooms have four-poster beds.
Each suite has an executive desk, a 42-inch plasma flat-screen TV and an internet connection point offering free broadband internet access. The executive suites are built to blend with the magnificent surroundings, both inside and out. Each suite is 75 m² (806 square feet) in area. A separate foyer, a lobby and a minibar make these rooms supremely private. The bathrooms are very roomy, with a bath for 2 people, a double vanity unit, a separate walk-in shower, a toilet and a bidet. Each executive suite has a king-size double bed or 2 extra-large single beds, making the room suitable as a twin.
The deluxe rooms share all of the comforts, facilities and luxuries of the executive suites but with that little bit extra.
The spacious penthouses offer modern luxury. Double the size of the executive rooms, the penthouses are approximately 160 m² (1720 square feet) in area. As well as all of the comforts and facilities of the other rooms, each of the penthouses has a bar area, a private guest toilet and a mini plasma flat-screen TV in the bathroom. Every penthouse has a separate bedroom, a living room, a lounge, a dressing room, a guest toilet, a bathroom with jet pool and one king-size double bed.
Harvey's Point's restaurant is smartly decorated and produces a high quality distinctive cooking with a focus on local ingredients. The interior with its panoramic windows, resident pianist, and attractive crisp linen-laid tables hits just the right note for relaxed elegant dining. Dishes are fresh, tasty and well-timed with starters like feuillete of wood pigeon or seafood risotto. The fresh pan fried scallops is a stunning main course and come with a delicious carrot lemongrass purée, asparagus and cardamone sauce. The restaurant is famed for its sumptuous carvery, and is available for very select special occasions throughout the year. Thanks to an impressive menu, the hospitality and well-practiced service and a well-chosen wine list includes many fine vintages from around the world, Harvey's Point's restaurant has received prestigious awards, including the AA 2 Rosette Award, the RAC Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence and a "Best Restaurant Award" from Leading Restaurants.
From Letterkenny, N15: Travelling from Letterkenny through Ballybofey and Barmesmore Gap, you will see a pub (Biddys O'Barnes) to your left. Continue on for another 5 km and you will see a signpost on your right for Harvey's Point. Turn right and follow the finger signpost for another 5 km. From Sligo, N15: Travelling from Sligo through Ballyshannon and Laghy, continue through the junction for Donegal Town, heading for Lifford and Killybegs. You will arrive at a roundabout. Take the 3rd exit for Lifford and Derry. Continue on this road for another 1.5 km. You will see Clar Chapel on your right. Opposite, on your left, is a signpost and road to Harvey's Point. Turn left and follow the signpost for Harvey's Point - another 5 km.
