In rolling Somerset countryside, Norton St Philip is a very pretty, charming little village, 6 miles (9.6 km) from Bath, Wells, Longleat, Stonehenge and Cheddar Gorge.
Mixing charm, privacy and comfort, The Plaine is named after the location of the 1685 Pitchfork Rebellion. England's oldest inn, The George, is just 23 steps from the front door and The Fleur, 17 steps from the front door, also offers excellent food.
Rooms have four-poster beds and rooms with twin beds are also available. All rooms have TVs and tea/coffee. In summer, you can relax in the garden or have coffee in the courtyard.
Breakfasts at The Plaine are made with fresh local produce and are served in the 16th-century dining room, which boasts original wood beams.
