Dating back to 1820, the Castle House B&B is a Grade II listed former gentleman's residence with a magnificent setting, just below Denbigh Castle. On the edge of 9 acres of ancient woodland, in the most historic part of Denbigh, the house has a private footpath up to the town's ancient walls.
There are 3 individually designed and magnificently appointed bedrooms. Each unique room has luxurious 500-thread-count Egyptian-cotton bed linen and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. A superb cooked traditional Welsh breakfast is included in the price and there is a romantic lounge and a graceful dining room.

This room is named after Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, Sherriff of Denbigh, and lover of Queen Elizabeth I, builder of Leicester’s church, the ruins of which are in Castle House’s back garden.
Sumptuous and romantic, with a rich Elizabethan style, the room has an impressive super-king-size mahogany four-poster bed, dressed in opulent crewel-embroidered fabrics. The room has panoramic views of the hills of the Clwydian Range from both the bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and a separate powerful shower.
This room is named after Denbigh’s local-boy-made-good, H M Stanley, of “Dr Livingstone, I presume” fame.
The room is decorated in a Parisienne romantic-chic style and is themed around the ornate, pretty fireplace. The room has a king-size double French boudoir bed with corona in Toile de Jouy and matching wallpaper. There are panoramic views of the hills of the Clwydian Range.
This room is named after Thomas Gee, the first publisher of a Welsh newspaper and also an active Liberal politician. His family occupied the property for some decades and entertained Lloyd George at Castle House.
