The Scherer is a friendly, traditional 4-star hotel in a central yet quiet location close to Salzburg's old town and train station.
A pleasant 15-minute walk along the Salzach promenade takes you from the hotel, which is located in a peaceful side street, to the city centre.

The family-run Hotel Scherer is open all year and features a 24-hour reception. English, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and some Japanese are spoken by the staff.

The fully air-conditioned restaurant serves traditional Austrian and international dishes. The restaurant is open from 06:00 until 22:00. The breakfast buffet is available between 06:00 and 10:00. A "late riser" breakfast is offered until 12:00. Lunch for single travellers is available on request.
The next bus stop (line no.6) is only 70 metres from the hotel.
