La Vecchia Fonte Hotel owes its name to the old fountain located in the town's centre square. Built with typical Mediterranean materials, La Vecchia Fonte blends harmoniously into the Sardinian landscape.
You will enjoy the hotel's central location and panoramic views of the surrounding area. In addition to the harbour, which is within walking distance of the hotel, you can discover many fantastic sandy bays along Palau's enchanting coastline.
From the harbour itself, you can take ferries to the renowned La Maddelena Archipelago.

All the rooms are spacious and bright, with a balcony or private terrace, and are fully-equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, internet access, minibar and a safety box. The bathrooms are quiet and large and have a hair dryer and a set of luxury toiletries.
Much bigger than the classic ones, bright and with a beautiful port view, our superior rooms are provided with particularly spacious bathrooms (it is also possible to choose for a bath tube), adorned with marble and hand-decorated tiles. To complete it all, there is a separate sitting area for your relaxation time and a reading corner with a bureau. Two of them also have a panoramic, communicating terrace. We offer our guests a wide range of room services.
Our suite is composed of two different units, both with sea view: a welcoming sitting area with TV and sofa, private bathroom with bath and a rich set of complimentary toiletries (which also includes personalized bathrobes and slippers) and a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed and a reading corner where you will find a beautiful hand crafted, wooden bureau. To enrich all relaxing moments, our guests will find in the room a rich set for the preparation of tea, coffee and Italian cappuccino.
The cafe and breakfast bar, which is situated on the ground floor and next to the hall, is a refined place where you can listen to good music in a refreshment room that recalls shapes inspired by the seafaring world. A good coffee, a particular aperitif, a snack, a refreshing cocktail or a very great selection of wines are also available. The precise, friendly and quick staff create a pleasant atmosphere.
Palau is on the north east coast of Sardinia. If you are coming by ferry from Genoa, Naples or Porto Vecchio (Corsica), the hotel, which is located in front of the tourist port, is within 2 minutes walking distance. If you are coming from Olbia by ferry or plane, journey times vary between 25-35 minutes depending on traffic, following the directions for Palau on SS 125.
