Alternatively, take a train to Bari Station, located 60 km from Matera, then the FAL bus line or train. By Bus: The Marino bus services link Matera to Milan, Ancona, Bologna, Chianciano, Fiuggi, Naples, Novara, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Sassuolo and Urbino, as well as to many other foreign cities. The Marozzi and Liscio bus services link the city to Rome, Florence, Pisa and Siena with 2 trips by day and one at night. By Car: From the Adriatic coast: - Take the Bologna-Taranto motorway until the Bari Nord exit. - Follow signs for Altamura-Matera along the SS 99. From the Tyrrhenian coast: - Take the Salerno - Reggio Calabria motorway until the Sicignano degli Alburni exit. - Head for Potenza and then for Metaponto on the SS 407 Basentana until you find directions for Matera. By Plane: The nearest airport is the Bari-Palese airport, approximately 60 km from the hotel.
