Located close to both Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia Railway Station, Residence Ai Carmini is in the Dorsoduro district, along the Fondamenta del Soccorso. Ai Carmini lies between the Zenobio Palace (Armenian College) and an ancient building belonging to the Moro Family, known as Othello's house from the famous tragedy by Shakespeare.

The Vivarini apartment, located on the 4th floor, was originally an artist’s spacious studio. It is comprised of a large bedroom, a living-room with sofa, small dining-room, kitchen, bathroom and a wonderful panoramic terrace. Set on the East side of the building, directly on the Fondamenta del Soccorso, along the Santa Margherita, the studio offers a breathtaking view of the West side of town and its mainland.
The apartment opens on a bright living room with a delightful view of the gardens of the former Carmini Cloister, the Carmini Church with its peculiar tympanum and bell-tower, and the profusion of roofs of Dorsoduro houses on the horizon. The living room is surrounded by 2 sofas and a glass table. The kitchen nook is in front of the bathroom, and the spacious bedroom looks onto the Fondamenta del Soccorso, along the Santa Margherita Canal. At dusk you can admire gondolas slowly sliding to Piazzale Roma. In summer, the sunset makes the view even more charming.
The apartment is composed of a hall, living room with sofas, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom and living room look directly onto the Fondamenta del Soccorso, along Santa Margherita Canal. The kitchen and bathroom look onto the gardens of the former Carmini Cloister. From the bedroom and the living room you can admire a classic Venetian view, of gondolas slowly passing by the canl, going under the Carmini Bridge towards the moorings of Piazzale Roma. During summer, the sunset makes the whole view even more charming.
By Car: - Go through the tollgate (on the A4 or A27 motorway) and follow the signs to Venice. - Once you've left the mainland, you can park your car in one of the garages on Tronchetto Island; either at the end of Ponte della Libertà on your right, or in one of the garages in Piazzale Roma. - You can also park in Mestre, in front of the train station, and then reach Venice by train (see Venice train station) or by bus number 2 (see Piazzale Roma). All parking areas are with fee. From Tronchetto: Take ferry boat number 82 up to the San Basilio stop, and walk on to apartment-hotel Ai Carmini (5 minutes). From Piazzale Roma: You can reach apartment-hotel Ai Carmini by taking a 10 minute walk) or ferry boat number 82 up to the San Basilio stop. Then walk on to your destination (5 minutes). By Train: From Santa Lucia train station: - You can reach the hotel by taking a 10 minute walk or the ferry boat up to the San Basilio stop. Then walk on to your destination (5 minutes). By Plane: From Marco Polo airport: Take ATVO shuttle bus or ACTV bus number 5 to Venice up to the Piazzale Roma bus terminal (13 km), then go on to apartment-hotel Ai Carmini. You can also moor directly at the hotel with a private taxi boat. By Plane: From Treviso airport San Giuseppe: Take ATVO-Ryanair bus to Venice up to the Piazzale Roma bus terminal (38 km), then go on to the hotel. By Boat: From the seaport station of San Basilio: You can reach apartment-hotel Ai Carmini on foot.
