About NH Palacio de Oriol hotel
A palace built in 1902, on a vantage point overlooking the Abra Bay, the hotel's main building has been sensitively renovated to offer stylish, contemporary accommodation.
24 of the 88 rooms are located in the main building, with the remainder being superior, exterior rooms. The hotel's beautiful building has been declared one of the city's historic monuments and the original exterior has been carefully preserved. The interior, however, has been sympathetically remodelled to provide chic, modern accommodation with contemporary comforts, carefully integrated into the palace's beautiful, historic structure.
The thoughtful reconstruction has also preserved the palace's original internal courtyard and the chapel, a typical example of early twentieth century eclecticism, which faces the street.

We offer 88 rooms, all of which are exterior and most with view magnificent views of the Bahía of Abra. Each room has a complete bathroom and television with national and international channels. They include an “Agua de la Tierra” toiletry set and we can even offer special sets specific for women. You will also find a postcard of the hotel, which you can send free of charge, and a “Telva” magazine.

Restaurants and Bars
Ferrán Adriá, currently known as the best cook in the world, leads our already well-known restaurant. Our Restaurant, "El Palacio" combines innovation and traditional Basque cuisine. Whether you have breakfast, lunch or dinner at our restaurant, the experience will surely be unforgettable. The buffet breakfast is served between 7.30 and 11.00, lunch between 14.00 and 15.30 and dinner between 21.30 and 23.00. We are closed on Sunday nights and Mondays.
Directions
From the airport, take a bus to the centre of Bilbao and from there take the train towards Santurce and get off at "Peñota". Trains from Bilbao to Santurce leave every 15-20 mins. We are located 500 metres from Peñota train station. From the A-8 motorway, go past Bilbao and go towards Santander. 15 Km form Bilbao, take the exit Portugalete / Ortuella. Cross Portugalete by descending the whole of Carlos VII Street. The street forks out and you take Avenida Abaro (on your left), which becomes Avenida Cristobal Murrieta after 200 metres and we are on your right. Coming from Santander, you will need to take the same exit and follow the same directions.
