Facing the beachfront, Samesun Ocean Beach Hotel & Hostel offers 2-star accommodation in San Diego and features a shared lounge and terrace. This hostel seems brand new with newly tiled showers and private bathrooms. The showers are very hot. The kitchen is large and set up perfectly for self-service and lots of space for storing your own food. The lounge areas are a popular place to sit quietly or visit with other guests. I was pleasantly surprised to meet all age ranges including quite a few retired people like myself. People from all over the country who were very interesting. I would be happy to LIVE HERE FULL TIME. I arrived late from Tijuana airport at 3 AM. The receptionist was so nice with me and gave me something to eat. I woke up after breakfast had finished, but the housekeeper, Yolanda, fixed me a nice breakfast and coffee. The art work and decor both inside and outside is amazing. Photos don't do it justice. I will return here on my next visit.

Stay Classy is well located in the centre of San Diego, and provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. excellent !! very clean and rooms were spacious.

This boutique modern inn offers unique air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Solvang town centre is just a few blocks away from New Haven Inn. the room was clean and comfortable, close to everything, nice place to stay. the fire pit outside the room was a nice detail. Solvang surprised us and time was too short, for sure we would like to visit again and stay at this hotel.

The Home2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort, CA is conveniently located across from the entrance to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure theme parks. Location is awesome. Room is spacious and clean. Staff was responsive.

Set in Idyllwild, Tahquitz Pines Retreat offers a tennis court. Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Tahquitz Pines is my new favorite quick getaway!! The property is beautiful and immaculate! There is so much to do! Staff is friendly and accommodating. The decor in the various rooms and cottages are first class, not fadish or glitzy, but very tasteful and eye pleasing. The grounds at night are breathtaking! I was actually amazed at the affordability of this property compared to how fantastic this property is. I expected something far less for the price. It should be called a resort instead of retreat, although I understand why. Everything has the look and feel of being brand new. Rooms have very comfortable beds and bedding, and each room of our 2 bedroom cottage had a big screen TV along with microwave and mini frig. There are some that have full kitchens. If you are going to Idyllwild, you MUST stay here!! This is coming from someone who retired from the travel industry, so I know a good property when I see one!! You will not be disappointed!! There are so many walking trails, basketball, fitness room, recreation room with ping pong and pool, and restaurant on the grounds to open in summer. Lovely pool and spa. Wonderful playground. Firewood and pits are available for that night campfire with smores for the kids! Dog friendly! You don't have to leave the grounds, but town is only a mile down the road. Loved everything about Tahquitz Pines and am planning a trip towards summer for all ten of us!

In a prime location in the centre of Palm Springs, Jazz Hotel Palm Springs provides free WiFi throughout the property, a terrace and free private parking for guests who drive. The pictures of this property are good, but not as good as real life! The room was spacious and had a Keurig, kettle and fridge area separate. The back patio was nice, but the common area was beautiful. The pool is cozy when others are out, but morning coffee around the pool was so relaxing. Not mentioned, is that there is a little lounge room, where there is nespresso, nugget ice and lots of little details that were a pleasant surprise. They also had bikes, not sure if you had to pay to rent them or not but again, convenient surprise. This was my first time staying at a small boutique hotel vs airbnb or large hotel chain in the PS area, I would absolutely book here again for a no kids get away!

Located in Los Angeles, within 1.5 km of Staples Center and 2.9 km of LA Union Station, Sonder The Winfield provides free WiFi. What a great property! Close to the metro and buses. Lounge area and luggage lockers you can use if you have to wait for a flight. Staff were lovely. Couldn’t have been more helpful!

Situated in Paso Robles, 2.1 km from Paso Robles Event Center, Stables Inn features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Location was great , within walking distance of some wonderful restaurants and shopping.
