It was very clean, very local to. Town very very basic but just somewhere cheap to stay for the weekend.

The hotel is very nice. Although I paid extra for a 'newly refurbished executive room', it was obvious that nothing had been refurbished!
The room was clean, but the carpets were worn and stained. The bathroom was in need of major work! The floor tiles were cracked, and the grout was stained. The whole room needs updating.
The room itself was a good size, far better than a standard double, which was we stayed in on a previous visit.( That was ridiculously small, with the bed jammed against the wall! )
I queried this with the receptionist, who didn't seem to understand my questions, and she got the manager, who agreed it had not had any work done, and refunded the extra payment.
The bed was spacious and reasonably comfortable, but the mattress was in need of replacement as it was creaking every time I moved or sat on the side of it.
The breakfast and dinner were very good and value for money.
All the staff in the hotel were charming, helpful, and very attentive.
We will stay there again, hopefully in a refurbished room!
Situated 15 minutes' away by train from Gatwick Airport and central London, EasyHotel Croydon offers accommodation with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
Midway between central London and Gatwick Airport, Croydon is a shopping haven. Hundreds of stores are found under the glass-roofed Whitgift Centre and the even more modern Centrale complex.
This thriving retail industry is one factor contributing to the town being London’s 3rd most important business area, so naturally it has its fair share of skyscrapers. Also tall is the red-brick Croydon Clocktower, housing the town museum, and attached to the town hall overlooking Queen’s Gardens.
Opposite is Fairfield Halls, a large arts venue behind which run train lines connecting East Croydon Station to London Victoria in one direction, and Gatwick and Brighton in the other. Modern trams also link the town to other suburbs. Croydon used to have its own airport (once more important than Heathrow) and its former terminal is a museum open one Sunday a month.
The town minster houses tombs of some archbishops of Canterbury and their summer residence was Croydon Palace, now a school. Much more famous is the BRIT School which has nurtured musical artists including Adele, Jessie J and Katie Melua.
The Croydon accommodation on Booking.com includes 4-star hotels with pools, guest houses with parking and cheap apartments. In the Borough of Croydon are Addington, home of an opulent palace, and neighbouring Shirley with its Grade II-listed windmill.

Good transportation to London, 15mins into London via overground rail. Good link to the underground into central London. Good and big malls around the area, many eateries and easy access to Gatwick in 15 minutes via East Croydon Station.

I grew up near Croydon and it has changed a great deal, It has good transport and access to shops. It is fairly built up in some areas but has a good community spirit and some older buildings do remain.
Coulsdon is in a more leafy part of the borough and I enjoyed staying in the Coulsdon Manor Hotel.

Everything was amazing but only reason I would not give a 5 star is because the curtains were not black out as advised and their were street lights right opposite window which was super annoying inside door did not lock either so put a chair infront for peace of mind. Staff were attentive, happy, and smiling.

The only small problem I noticed was the taps on the sink.
The only small problem I noticed was the taps on the sink. They were not far enough forward in the bowl, so difficult to get your hands, toothbrush etc under. Also the water therefore run onto the surface instead into the bowl.

I only come here because I have relatives in the city otherwise I would not be seen dead here - mind you, with all the knife stabbings that go on in Croydon, that´s always a possibility. A two word description of Croydon would end in hole!
The location is one of the most attractive features of these apartments, right opposite East Croydon Station (one stop from Gatwick) with regular services into London Bridge and Victoria. Enjoyed living in a block where other residents were permanent residents, not holiday makers. Appreciated the dishwasher, washing/dryer machine within the apartment. Reception staff (who don't work for Charles Hope) are very friendly and courteous as are the Charles Hope Guest Services staff whom we contacted by phone and email when issues arose.
Friendly check-in, large and super-quiet room on high floor as requested, with lovely view to the hills east of town. Convenient location a short walk from East Croydon station but away from the crowds. Pleasant decor (if a bit of artistic licence with the positioning of various London icons on the wallpaper! :-) ), and I appreciated the in-room safe as well as the good lighting and the extra space to relax comfortably. Also nice was the ability to open the window for fresh air at night ...
Location is excellent, very convenient for buses and trains. There is even a bus direct to Heathrow that stops round the corner! Although in Croydon centre, noise was not a problem. The owner arranged a car to pick us up from Heathrow which worked out really well as we were arriving pretty late and it was nice to know we had that organized, good price too. Owner very easy to communicate with. Very comfy bed, plenty of hot water. Small grocery stores very close by.
Hotel very close to East Croydon train station is the first positive. Hotel is in walking distance to the City Centre. Room size, Staff and breakfast are all good. This is the second time I have stayed here. Ms.Mariyana from the breakfast area has to be mentioned here for the way she welcomes guests for breakfast with a gentle smile. Also, she makes sure that we are not left wanting for something. Always happy to help.
The property was on a quiet residential street, close to a tram platform that had consistent trams going to East Croydon Station where we could find connections to London. it was well thought out, decorated nicely and had a more modern updated bathroom. Matt and Beverly were awesome!
The room and the bed was ok. But to think that a hotel of this standard has no restaurant nor bar is to say the least, it's ridiculous. When I even complained and made light of it, one of the Front staff said I could complain for as long as I like.
The location was good with plenty of food options around the area
The person at reception was friendly and helpful while a little overworked it seemed?
Price wise the place was cheaper than most because obviously the hotel needed updating!
The location is near to East Croydon train station. So you can reach London Victoria and / or London Gatwick Airport less than an hour.
You can find a Tesco Express for a five minute walk. The Croydon Market / center is about 15 minutes.
They had everything me and my family needed. Very comfy. It had both Home and hotel feeling.I will definitely book this place over and over again . Clean, spacious enough for us . we had enough utensils to cook . Excellent Host.
Stayed here as close to Crystal Palace wireless festival, cheap price for two nights accommodation. Staff were friendly. Hotel was passable to just sleep in but wouldn’t want to be there much other than that.
Very nice hotel. Good location and breakfast. Staff were very nice and helpful, especially Garima, who was very kind to us during our stay. Thank you to everyone working there.
Great location for East Croydon station, town centre and London. The apartment is spacious, very clean and comfy. The hosts are very friendly and easy to contact.
