FAQs about hotels in Hong Kong

Style Amidst the Skyscrapers

One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.

Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture, to nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.

Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbour, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.

Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the backgound.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city centre. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Hong Kong holiday.

    My favorite city.

My favorite city. Hong Kong may be a bit daunting for less confident travelers. It's very hustle & bustle, and navigation isn't always intuitive. But, it's still very safe & accomodating for foreigners. Almost everything is accessible even without being fluent in Chinese. And you'll have no problem accessing transportation. There's so much to explore & unlimited options for good food across all price ranges. Don't miss the Avenue of Stars, Ladies' Market, Central Mid-Levels, Stanley, the Star Ferry, HK Island Tramways.

My former memories of Hong Kong include: -cheap shopping. -cheap food. -great sights. Today's reality: -shopping is cheaper in other countries -food prices seem much higher now -sights are still great: Disneyland, Ngong Ping 360, Victoria Peak, etc -city seems to be always changing which is a great thing.

It was a mixed business and leisure trip, so I tended to look for places to eat nearby. It's easy to find good food just anywhere. I wasn't able to visit the Peak or Ngong Ping 360 this time, but those are some of my favorites to go to when in HK. Getting around HK is a breeze, the MTR stations are well laid out and easy to figure out. I would avoid Taxis and prefer Uber instead, as the taxi drivers tend to drive pretty fast and you find yourself sliding left and right on the back seat. Also, the smell of the taxis isn't always pleasant.

Our stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the hotel's enchanting Victorian-style architecture and the warm hospitality of the staff. Every aspect of our experience, including the beautifully appointed rooms, exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the park allowed us to effortlessly immerse ourselves in the magic of Disney throughout our stay. The hotel is far from the center which make the neighborhood a bit more on residences side which is good to our preference, while its far from the center its so close to public transportation make it convenient, the room are really big and comfortable with this price in Hong Kong I would say its really good value. Check in take a bit long (lack of staff) but check out is super duper quick and easy. Hotel staff also responsive by email for my prior request and questions, which is something I really appreciated.

The location is simply the best in Hong Kong even when compared to hotels in the 200USD range. You walk 5 minutes to the avenue of stars and about the same to reach Kowloon park. The hostel has a nice public area and offers amenities like a water filter and a microwave. Everything is relatively tight but that’s totally normal for HK, especially in this price range. You are 2 minutes away from the next metro stations and there are plenty of restaurants and shops around.

It's great value. The hotel was clean and comfy, even though the rooms themselves were small (but that's pretty standard all over Hong Kong). The location isn't as bad as we thought, as there was a bus that gets you down to Central within 25min. The buses are generally on time, and they come every 15 min or so, so it was pretty easy. The area itself didn't have too much to do, but the boat houses nearby was a cool thing to check out while we were here.
