We arrived and were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and had what was needed - comfortable beds, clean linens, kitchen utensils and more. VERY friendly staff who can provide you with all the information you want. We loved our sundeck for early morning sun. It is a perfect place from where you can hike parts of Queen Charlotte, explore the wineries, go to Havelock for mussels or hop on the Pelorus mailboat from there. Otherwise take the Picton mail boat! The cottage has everything you want, we loved our stay.

We stayed in a self-contained unit while we were in town for a multi-day funeral out at Grovetown. I tend to book hotels when travelling but this was all that was left in Blenheim when I booked and I was really impressed by it and will be back!! Location was perfect, halfway between Grovetown and centre of Blenheim. Would recommend having a car as navigating main roads on bikes might be a bit much for some. Unit had everything we needed. Other guests nearby all friendly and quiet. 8 year old son loved the playground and pool. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, quick check in process. Refresh of rooms each day with toilet paper, towels and milk was great.
