Positioned on the southern shores of Lake Pukaki, in the Mackenzie Country, and designed to maximize the panoramic views, Lakestone Lodge offers free bicycle rental to explore the beautiful country... We stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was a fantastic treat. The staff are great, can not fault the lodge or its location. Exceptional food. It was an absolute treat to stay here

Boasting free WiFi and views of the Southern Alps, Matuka Lodge is located on the Alps to Ocean Cycleway. All rooms feature a patio offering mountain views. Mel prepared us a wonderful breakfast, probably the best in our five weeks of travel. There were choices to suit what we felt like and the scrambled eggs were perfect. I loved the cereal choices and the great coffees. We also appreciated the fruit cake and cookies and other treats that were generously provided. The room was very comfortable with quality bedding and furniture and a beautiful bathroom and great views of the mountains. Mel’s care and warmth were very much appreciated, and her restaurant recommendations were great!

Nestled between Lake Pukaki and the Ben Ohau ranges, Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat offers free WiFi, a hot tub and free daily breakfast and dinner. All accommodations offer stunning views. The villa was much nicer than I anticipated, with its own private hot tub (maybe I missed it on the booking page, but I was pleasantly surprised). The grounds are very beautiful and you can take a walk through the woods to get to a view point for the lake.

Situated in Mount Cook National Park and offering beautiful mountain views, Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge is a 5-minute walk from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. Beautiful lookout from the dining room. Good choice if you plan to cook in Mt Cook.

Set 44 km from Mt. Dobson, Alice Garden offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. Great location across the street from Lake Tecapo. 15 minutes to the top of mountain observatory. Walking distance to Lake to be able to see dark sky, although garden area was also full of stars.

Three Rivers Lodge is located off the southern banks of Lake Tekapo, in the shadow of New Zealand’s picturesque Southern Alps. Absolutely loved staying here, my friend and I had the best experience! Andy is super kind and helpful, really made us feel welcomed. The rooms are amazing, so comfortable and warm. Location is great as well as the views definitely will be staying here again
