The hostels pretty new but you won't ever feel that, not because something's broken or unhinged but because the hosts are so good at handling everything and because everything you could possibly think of is already provided..makes it seem like they've been doing this for years. The hosts are super hospitable. The food's lovely. There's always some pretty music playing in the background so the ambience is well maintained. Just a 10/10, can't believe how much we lucked out finding about this place.

Everything was just perfect. The facilities , the care given to the guests, the view from the room, the pool , everything was just perfect. The food was really awesome as well.

It had a tropical rustic feel to it. It is a home stay model, so there is a few villas on one property. The food was home cooked food rather than “restaurant” food which I really enjoyed. The property is literally on the river bank so has an excellent location. There is an option for a 3 hour boat ride from the property or kayaking, they can also arrange airport pick up and drop off.

We stayed in the tree house at Kalidasa for 3 nights, what a truly magical experience we had! The accommodation in the treehouse is basic, clean and comfortable, but the setting and the hospitality of Sudheesh and his family are exceptional. Their recommended driver, Namshi, organised all our transport and arranged safaris for us. Sudheesh’s wife and mother produced delicious home cooked meals and Sudheesh was very happy to share his extensive knowledge of the area. They made our stay, in what is already a really beautiful place, as good as it could be. If you get chance to have a massage whilst you’re there, do, it’s another great experience! For a genuine local and back to nature experience, we highly recommend this place.

So special to be back here a year later and to see Uni and his lovely parents again. Beautiful place, stunning sunrise punting and gorgeous food. Thank you for having me back 🙌

Why Not Houseboat se encuentra en Alappuzha y dispone de vistas al lago, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. I loved everything during my trip. Staffs were extremely helpful. Love their hospitality, food and the peaceful journey. Definitely the best one I ever had.
