You turned a stressful situation into something that was resolved within 20 minutes. In a prime location in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO is located 1.2 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 1.1 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo... Best hotel we stayed in for Japan! We booked a standard double bed and the room was huge! We were happy we did not upgrade upon arrival as there was no need to in the end. We were sorry we didn't stay here longer and do a day trip or two to Osaka instead, as Osaka is only a 15 min Bullet Train ride and every hotel after this was a let down as they were so cramped and more expensive. There's so much to do in Kyoto too! The bar upstairs is unbelievable and the cocktails and mocktails were unreal. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so lovely!

The room is clean, cozy, and iconic. The location is very good, 5 mins from the subway station and 15 mins walk from the hotel to Kyoto station. The staff are so nice, friendly and kind I forgot a ring in the hotel, the staff informed me and sent the ring back to me. I really appreciated it. if I go back to Kyoto, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

The room was all that I needed. It wasn’t large, but the bed and the bathroom were nice. It was easy to get to the Gion neighborhood on one bus and easy to walk to the subway. There were a couple of coffee shops on the block that were great for breakfast. They also did a good job handling my luggage.

Loved the vibe and location, very spacious room in one of the best areas of the city for a very good price. Nice rooftop views.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. The location is great because it's just a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station. There's also a bus stop across the road so you can easily get to any part of the city quickly. This hotel has a good modern look while still being very comfortable. Breakfast was very good too.
