It is about 4 minutes' walk to the nearest bus station, 11 minutes' drive to Taichung Train Station and 20 minutes' drive to Taichung High Speed... Great modern hotel. Comfortable room and nice shared area with coffee tea and snacks. Great location. Our room had a view of the city and mountains. We booked with a huge discount too. Excellent value. Bike friendly.

Just a 3-minute walk from Maple Garden Taichung and a 15-minute walk from National Taichung Theatre, Hung's Mansion is situated in Xitun District of Taichung City. The lobby area is beautiful and the room is really clean and spacious. It was a lot bigger than we expected and had a desk and large couch. The bathroom was also very spacious with a huge sink area. There were great amenities such as a toilet with multiple functions (i.e. lid opens and closes on its own), complimentary toiletries (including toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor) that are refilled each day, both a shower and bathtub, speakers in the room and bathroom, clock that can turn the lights and AC on/off. There were also soft slippers and robes provided and plenty of storage space. The staff were very friendly and helpful and called cabs for us several times. There was a large TV with a variety of channels. Even though we had the “do not disturb” light on when housekeeping came around to tidy up, they came later that day and cleaned anyway without us asking. The room was indeed soundproof and we couldn’t hear neighboring rooms at all. We booked this hotel because of the high location and cleanliness ratings, but honestly the pictures don’t do it justice and the room is so much nicer than the pictures show. We will definitely stay here again in future visits!
