Situato a Zao Onsen, a 1,3 km dalla località sciistica di Zao Onsen, il Takasagoya Ryokan offre sistemazioni con accesso diretto alle piste sciistiche e un parcheggio privato gratuito. The owners/staff are extremely kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They allowed me to check in early and even let me use the onsen in the afternoon after checkout.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. Everyone was so helpful and polite. The room and private onsen was amazing. It was a great way to relax.

Featuring free property-wide WiFi, a spa centre and a seasonal outdoor pool, Matsushima Ichinobo offers accommodation in Matsushima. The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower.

Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. Wonderful hotel! All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The twin beds are firm and the bedding was nice and warm for winter. The bathroom in the room is compact and functional, and there was the option of the private bath downstairs. The food was outstanding- the taste and presentation was incredible! Be prepared for a full stomach as everything was delicious! The breakfast rice bowl (plus the other dishes) was the best way to start the day, and coming back in the evenings for a home cooked meal was very relaxing and special. I hope to come back one day.

Circondato da monti e da una natura incontaminata, il Tamonkan occupa uno storico edificio in stile giapponese a 8 minuti a piedi dal Santuario Dewa. Tutto tradizionale e molto curato. Colazione e cena ottime. Grande disponibilità del gestore per la logistica a/da Tsuruoka.

Situato a 10 minuti a piedi dall'impianto di risalita della funivia Zao Sky, il Miyamaso Takamiya offre 9 bagni termali naturali. Excellent food, 4 onsen on property. Spacious rooms.

Located a 7-minute walk from Gosho Lake, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers free WiFi and indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. JR Morioka Train Station is a 25-minute drive from the property. The food there was amazing! Multi course dinner was superb! Breakfast was delicious! The staff was exceptional. Highly recommended!

Situato proprio di fronte alla Baia di Matsushima, il Komatsukan Kofu-tei offre sistemazioni con connessione internet via cavo gratuita. The staff were very nice and friendly. Also, the view from the room was gorgeous, since it's very near in Fukuura bridge, it can be seen from window. And the breakfast was delightful. A great experience and taste of a formal Japanese breakfast.

Katakurinohana has lake views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Senboku, 15 km from Nyuto Hot Spring. It is set 49 km from Morioka Station and features free shuttle service.

Located in Kitakami, 42 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Yasuragino Yado -Iyashino Yu- provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I didn't take the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Location was good for me since I wanted to walk everyday.
